NEET counselling guide

Do not lose a seat
because the process felt confusing.

Counselling is a sequence of deadlines and decisions. RankMint explains the process, while official authorities publish the binding rules.

Who conducts counselling?

MCC handles All India Quota and specified central, deemed and institutional seats. State authorities handle state-quota and other eligible seats under their own rules. Karnataka candidates must follow KEA notices for Karnataka counselling.

Typical counselling flow

  1. Registration and fee payment
  2. Document or eligibility verification
  3. Choice entry and locking
  4. Seat allotment result
  5. Reporting, fee payment and document submission
  6. Upgrade, exit or subsequent-round decision
Schedules, exit rules and penalties can change. Read the current information bulletin and notices before acting.

RankMint’s role

RankMint helps with cutoff analysis, college comparison, choice-list structure and decision support. It is not an official counselling portal.
