NEET marks vs rank guide

Marks explain performance.
AIR explains competition.

Use this guide to understand the relationship, then use the dedicated rank predictor for calculation and the separate college predictor for admission possibilities.

Why one mark can move thousands of ranks

Rank distribution changes with paper difficulty, number of candidates, score clustering and tie-breaking. The relationship is therefore not linear. Near dense score bands, a small mark difference can create a large AIR change.

What to use after results

Once NTA publishes the score card, stop relying on expected-rank articles and use the printed AIR. College prediction and counselling decisions should begin with official AIR and verified eligibility claims.

RankMint’s public calculator is an estimate. It must not be described as an official NTA rank list.
